Well, We Kept Saying...__ Days Left...If It Happens...Well, IT HAPPENED...Part 1

For those of you who know us, we’re not exactly the publicly lovey dovey sappy couple (I think I gagged just saying that!)…more would call us humorous, sarcastic, and hopefully entertaining?!  Well, for those of you who came to Dallas for the wedding…hopefully we were able to accomplish bringing a little entertainment in to the whole craziness of the wedding and make your tickets well worth the $$$!  If not, you can at least make the claim people from college used to make all the time…Oh Dallas, I’ve been there…I was at the DFW Airport on the way to ___ haha.

On that note let me just give a HUGE shout out and say…I probably have the GREATEST and MOST FANTASTIC friends ever!!  All of my childhood and college friends that promised to come to Dallas when I got married (some were probably losing hope of that ever happening and transferring the wedding ticket fund over to a vacation fund J) all pulled through and were there for the most important day of my life...and best of all...in their PINK DRESSES as my unofficial bridesmaids!

Joce, Shells and I have all grown up together in Carrollton since we were about 4 years old…so fun to have so many years of fun times and good memories!  Joce’s husband was in my ward at BYU and was not such a fan of Texas…guess that’s changed now…Joce has introduced him to the better part of the U.S. J.
Tiff and I met in the Carrollton Singles Ward back in the day when it just started and was a Branch.  She has been my most loyal single friend over the past 5 years and I honestly could not ask for a better friend!
Brittney and I met while "working" at the IT Will Call Desk at BYU.  I won't deny that sometimes in college I would stereotype people when I first met them and I might have done just that with Brittney.  She was blonde, skinny, and from Cali so I expected she would be the normal "ditzy" Cali girl and we wouldn't have anything in common, but I could not have been more wrong.  Britt has become one of my best friends and is anything but ditzy...she's incredibly smart and talented and basically the next Martha Stewart.  She also happens to have one of the funniest husbands ever (Shout out Steven!).
Ida, Cammen and I were all in the same ward in college.  Ida lived in the Brick House and was one of my most favorite people ever and happened to marry one of my favorite people from our ward named Jeff.  Jeff and I quickly bonded over our love for electronics and technology and our not so much love for the same people at BYU.  Cammen and her husband Patrick are the reason I passed Stats and all of my Science classes and basically the reason I even have a college degree.  Cammen and Patrick would tutor me (for free too) on all of my assignments and do all of my practice tests with me the night before all of my tests!  Patrick served his mission in Italy and would always cook us authentic Italian meals in college so I’m going to go ahead and blame him for part of my sophomore __ #’s (amount will remain undisclosed haha).

Cammen (Kelsi) and Joce (Maddy, Camden & Kensi) brought their adorable little kids to the wedding to be my “pink girls” and “orange boy”.  Britt and Ida also happen to have super cute kids but Britt and Steve have never been to Dallas so they used it as a vacation and left the kiddos at home and well…Ida’s very pregnant and currently flying from wedding to wedding so she left her little one at home as well.  Just wanted to make sure everyone knew their kids were super adorable as well haha.

We were also SO blessed to have all of our family come to Dallas from all over for our special day…what more could we have asked for?  Here are some pictures for an additional shout out to my other 2 "bridesmaids" (I can already see the text message I would get from one of them whom will remain nameless if her picture was not posted as well)...Plus I love them so they need to be posted!

Anyways, on to the part that everyone has been asking for…the PICTURES!!

Friday night Judy and Cecil (my new parents-in-law) were gracious enough to host a BBQ at their house in Decatur for all of our friends and family that had traveled here for the wedding.

The food was voted best BBQ ever by all of my friends that came in to town…Cecil can sure cook some mean ribs and brisket!!  Mom made her infamous rolls also...my mouth is watering just looking at the picture!!

The Friday night party was so fun and we’re truly grateful for his parents willingness to host it and all of his siblings/nieces/nephews and etc. who helped them to do everything!  We were glad everyone came out...especially since it's a pretty remote area and half our friends got lost and my parents got a flat tire half way there.  Here are the rest of the pictures from the party…

Alright well...I'm blogged out for now and my lunch hour is over so back to work...I'll work on posting actual pictures of the Wedding and Reception tonight or tomorrow!
